G’morning, G’evening and G’night

As I watch todays early morning showing of Cash Cab and find myself screaming answers at the TV screen I can’t help but wonder why I’m never lucky enough to get on a show like that.  ( Obscenely jealous, sorry )

Anyway, an introductory blog should be just that.  Introductory.  Mine won’t.  Sorry for you illiterate internet-goers, and there are many, but my blog will be quite lengthy and wordy at times, so please just bear with me.

My name is Josiah West, I am twenty years-old and loving it for now.  I live in beautiful Amarillo, Texas with a great high school friend.  I am a photographer that is currently working as a hotel front desk worker ( and more currently, waiting on my paycheck which will soon be non-existant ).  I do not currently go to college but I am hoping that once my roomie and I get out of our irrespnsible and unrelenting penniless phase I will be able to start getting my photojournalism degree.  I am a dog lover, more specifically a Great Dane lover, but unfortunately a one-bedroom apartment in which I get the couch is not big enough for my beautiful puppy Ashen to live with us, but soon money will be coming in and soon I will get my baby back.  My beautiful dog, Ashen is currently living in White Deer, TX, about 45 miles away and I can’t stand it.  But forgive my ranting, pictures soon to come ( hopefully) .

Well sorry for such a long first blog but just to tell you about a standard day in the life of Josiah I got off work at about 11 p.m. and headed off to a local bar that I occasionally help out with in exchange for free sodas all night.  Helped out a bit and then went to the gay bar next door and started talking to the local attendants.  Met one interesting fellow named Michael with which I had a wonderful 4 hour long conversation about everything from parenthood to peer pressure and then some.  We went and had breakfast at IHOP and talked some more and thus ends my night.  One of my favorite things to do in Amarillo is meeting new people, just to talk to and get to know as part of overtaking my inherent shyness.  And it is probably time for me to get to bed because I can see my tiredness is really coming through in this first blog.  G’night y’all.
